LONDON, KY (UPDATE) -  Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that the date for this years event has been changed. The 4th Annual "Operation Polar Express" event will be Monday, December 23rd, 2024 at the Sheriff's Office.

SEVENTEEN (17) ARRESTS DURING ILLEGAL DRUG TRAFFICKING ROUNDUP IN LONDON, KENTUCKY AND SURROUNDING AREAS WITH MORE EXPECTED

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that the Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force comprised of the Laurel County Sheriff's Office, HIDTA, Knox County Sheriff's Office, and London City Police with assistance from Kentucky State Police arrested 17 individuals on a drug roundup following several months of investigation into illegal drug trafficking in the area.

GLOCK PISTOL AND AR RIFLE STOLEN BY A LONE SUSPECT IN LAUREL COUNTY, KY / PUBLIC ASKED FOR HELP LOCATING

LONDON, KY (December 16th, 2024) — The Laurel County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help with locating a Glock pistol and an AR rifle stolen from a parked pickup truck in a business parking lot in southern Laurel County overnight.

LINN COUNTY, OR (December 17th, 2024) – The Oregon State Police (OSP) is seeking witnesses to an early morning Linn County crash involving a pedestrian who was struck and killed. The crash occurred at about 6:32 a.m. on Interstate 5 near Exit 216 (Halsey/Brownsville).
