LONDON, KY (UPDATE) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that the date for this years event has been changed. The 4th Annual "Operation Polar Express" event will be Monday, December 23rd, 2024 at the Sheriff's Office.
This year's event will be from 10:00 A.M. til 4:00 P.M.. Children must be present with an adult!
ALSO: Our toy drive continues up through Friday morning, December 20th, 2024 at the Laurel County Sheriff's Office for gifts to be given to deserving children at the Laurel County Sheriff's Office before Christmas.
Due to the overwhelming success of our program, many gifts are still needed so we can provide a Christmas to Laurel County's children! A collection box is set up in the front office of the Laurel County Sheriff's office to accept donations which will be received through Friday morning December 20th. Donations can be dropped off at the Sheriff's Office Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. thru 4:00 P.M. Gift bags and wrapping paper will also be kindly accepted. Help us to help children that may not have much of a Christmas this year.
AGAIN: This year's event will occur on Monday morning December 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. and, an ADULT must be present with the Children at the event. Drinks and snacks will be served.
NOTE: The first 50 families to participate will receive a free ham! First come first served! The hams are being provided through cooperation with Robinson's Premium Meats. Many thanks to Robinson's for their support of our "Polar Express" event!
