LINN COUNTY, OR - Oregon State Police (OSP) report that on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 7:52 a.m., OSP responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 228, near milepost 10, in Linn County.
The preliminary investigation indicated an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Natosha Lynn Wells (40) of Albany, crossed the centerline and struck a westbound Chevrolet Trax, operated by Kylie Rae Campbell (37) of Sweet Home, head-on.
The operator of the Trax (Campbell) was declared deceased at the scene.
The operator of the Silverado (Wells) suffered reportedly minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The highway was impacted for approximately three hours during the on-scene investigation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
