Duke Jones, 80, of Manchester, was born, April 13th, 1933, and passed away, Sunday, October 27, 2013 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Denna Jones, and these children, Carl Bruce Jones, Charlie Jones, Donna Jones, and Christy Sizemore, all of Leslie County, Benny Bowman, and wife, Beth of Lexington, Judy Ferguson, of Dayton, OH, Oda Lisa Hernandez, of Texas, Miranda North, and husband, David, of London, along with sixteen grandchildren, and one special great grandson, Cody Couch, and a host of other great grandchildren
Also surviving is one brother, Gilbert Jones, and these sisters, Nellie McCoy, Opal Mitchell, and husband, Monroe, Ruth Martin, Roma Sowders, and husband, Jim, all of Leslie County, and a host of nephews and nieces.
He is preceded by his parents, Charlie and Lily Jones, his children, Jimmy Ray Johnson and Lynn Jones, and these brothers and sisters, Farris Jones, Beve "BP" Jones, and Ruby J. Hoskins.
He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his death.
Funeral services for Duke Jones will be 12 Noon Wednesday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Gray, Ronnie Brown, and Gary Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Estep Cemetery at Sugar Creek. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the Britton Funeral Home.
