Manchester PD K-9 Officer John Root presented with 2024 Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Award

MANCHESTER, KY - Chief Jeff Couch and the Manchester Police Department congratulates MPD K-9 Officer John Root for receiving the Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Award at the 2024 Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards, recently held at the Campbell House in Lexington and hosted by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC) Office of Highway Safety.

Nearly 200 state and local law enforcement officers were honored at the ceremony.

State Police Arrest Man for Sexual Solicitation of a Minor in Prince George’s County, Maryland

Kentucky State Police Post 1 to Conduct Traffic Safety Checkpoints in December 2024

MAYFIELD, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout the Post 1 district, to check motorists for compliance with motor vehicle laws including driving under the influence statutes. KSP utilizes traffic safety checkpoints to promote safety for motorists using the public roadways and to provide a deterrent for those who violate laws contained in the Kentucky Revised Statutes.
