Need Help during the Winter Storm? Contact the Laurel County Sheriff's Office. This update issued January 4th, 2025 @ 11:15 P.M.
LONDON, KY (January 4th, 2025) — According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, the National Weather Service reports a snow advisory for Laurel County —a significant winter storm is possible Sunday morning at 7:00 A.M. into Tuesday morning at 7:00 A.M. with possible freezing rain, ice, and snow.
Up to 3 inches of snow and 1/10 to 2/10 of ice is possible. Also, on Wednesday possible arctic cold is predicted with wind chill temps below zero possible Wednesday night.
** Sheriff John Root reports his deputies will be available to citizens who can not get out on slick and dangerous roads to get medicine or food or any other emergency need. Also a reminder- check on the elderly and your neighbors and don't forget your pets during the storm.

Motorists should exercise caution if driving is necessary! Travel could be difficult to nearly impossible.
