Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) Investigate KSP Officer Involved Shooting in Warren County, KY

BOWLING GREEN, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) reports that the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been requested by KSP Post 3, Bowling Green to investigate a trooper-involved shooting that occurred on Sept. 25, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m. CDT. CIRT detectives arrived on the scene and began an investigation into the incident.

A male subject sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee where he was treated and released.

This individual was arrested after his release from the medical center, and is awaiting extradition back to Kentucky.

No other injuries were reported.

KSP has statewide jurisdiction and investigates officer-involved shootings throughout the commonwealth as requested by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. KSP is committed to being transparent while ensuring the integrity of the investigation. To protect the integrity of an ongoing investigation, it is KSP’s standard operating procedure not to release specific details until vital witnesses have been interviewed and pertinent facts gathered.
