LONDON, KY MAN WITH ACTIVE ARREST WARRANTS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN CLAY COUNTY

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Deputy Sgt. Wes Brumley observed Rafael Roark traveling south on U.S. HWY 421 on a Camo ATV.

Through having knowledge that Roark was known to be on an ATV matching the description and that he had active warrants for his arrest, Deputy Sgt. Brumley attempted to stop Roark on Chop Bottom Road.

Deputy Sgt. Brumley activated his emergency lights and Roark failed to stop, continuing on Chop Bottom Road at a high rate of speed, all over the road, nearly crashing into mailboxes.

Roark made it to the end of the road and attempted to go up a trail, but his ATV shut off. Rafael Mondell Roark, 33, of London, KY, was arrested and later transported to the Clay County Detention Center.

Rafael Roark was arrested for:

  • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE)
  • CARELESS DRIVING
  • ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES VIOLATIONS
  • POSS CONT SUB, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND OFFENSE - DRUG UNSPECIFIED
  • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE)

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
