KSP Charges Harlan Co. Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses

HARLAN, Ky. — On March 1, 2018, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested BRANDON M. Farley, 34, on charges related to a sexual performance by a minor.

Farley was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after receiving a complaint that Farley was having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Harlan on March 1, 2018. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Farley is currently charged with two counts of Sodomy 2nd Degree, a class C felony and two counts of Sodomy 3rd Degree, a class D felony.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.

He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
