LONDON, KY (August 30, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston, Deputy James Fox and Deputy Justin Tayloy arrested Jerry Allen Elliott age 44 of Corbin early Sunday morning August 30, 2020 at approximately 6:09 AM.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (August 29, 2020) – Attorney General Daniel Cameron continued his defense of Kentucky businesses and families by filing a brief in the Kentucky Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of Governor Beshear’s COVID-19 executive orders. The brief follows a July 20 ruling by a Boone County Circuit Court Judge finding many of the Governor’s executive orders unconstitutional.

LEXINGTON, KY - A Lexington man, Raymond Cong Duong, 35, was sentenced  on Friday, before U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell, to 180 months in federal prison, for possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced Friday that Kentucky will receive $35,483,406 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of the State Opioid Response Grants Program. Senator McConnell ensured 15 percent of the program’s funding is dedicated to the hardest hit states, like Kentucky.
