Traffic crash claims life of a London, Ky. man

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Lieut./Accident Reconstructionist Chris Edwards along with sheriff’s detectives and deputies are investigating a single vehicle single fatal traffic crash which occurred on Langnau Road, approximately 8 miles east of London on Friday afternoon August 28, 2020 at approximately 12:23 PM.

Sheriff's Investigators report that apparently a Pontiac Grand Am ran off the roadway and overturned on its top causing fatal injuries to the driver.

The driver was identified as: James J. Bowling age 68 of London.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner's office.

Assisting for the Sheriff's office were: Maj. Chuck Johnson, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Detective James Sizemore, Detective Bryon Lawson, and Detective Taylor McDaniel.

Laurel Sheriff's Lieut. Chris Edwards, lead investigator, continues the investigation.
