He was born on Sunday, August 20, 1944 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Eugene and Opal Webb Allen. Roger was an elder and taught Sunday School for over 40 years at the Oneida Church of Christ, he worked for the Clay County Board of Education and after 35 ½ years, he retired as the Principal of the Oneida Elementary School. Roger was also an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed farming, but most of all he had a great love for his family.
