As quiet as she was in life, Roberta Louise Crawford Grigsby, 88, of Manchester Ky. transitioned just as peacefully to her eternal home at Bluegrass Hospice Care in Lexington, Ky. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Roberta, or Bert as she was affectionately called, was born in Beattyville, Ky, on October 10, 1936 to the late Daley Crawford and Elizabeth Hill Crawford. 

Dolly Swafford, 59, of Martins Creek, KY, passed away Sunday, January 12th, at her home. Dolly was a member of the Otter Creek Baptist Church.

Dakota McCoy, age 23 departed this life on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was born on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 in Newark, Delaware to Jerry McCoy and Tonya (Collett) Norris. He worked at the Clay County Detention Center and was a member of the Flat Creek Church of the Brethren. He was a member of the Manchester Volunteer and Big Creek Volunteer Fire Departments, badge number 526. Dakota loved his firefighter family and jail family, they were his mentors and he loved them dearly.
