ONGOING KSP INVESTIGATION INTO FATAL COLLISION ON U.S. 31W IN HART COUNTY, KY

HORSE CAVE, KY (February 14, 2025) - At just before 6:00 P.M., the Kentucky State Police Post 03 Bowling Green, received a call about a possible fatal collision. Troopers arrived at the scene in the 5200 block of South Dixie Highway (U.S. 31W).

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, operated by 76-year-old James Rice of Munfordville, was traveling northbound on U.S. 31W. Mr. Rice’s vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the southbound lane, coming into the path of a 2000 Toyota Tundra operated by 64-year-old David Bradley, also of Munfordville.

Mr. Rice was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner. Mr. Bradley was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Trooper Landon Key, who was assisted at the scene by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, the Hart County Fire Department, and other KSP personnel.
