Mr. Pitman West, age 79 of Crane Branch in Oneida, departed this life on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at his home.
He was born on Tuesday, March 14, 1933 in Owsley County, Kentucky to the union of Hughie and America Couch West. He was a retired respiratory therapist for the Manchester Memorial Hospital, a member of the Baptist church and a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the United States Army.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Mayme Hudson West, his son: Russell Dale West and his wife Teresa of Merryville, Tennessee, these brothers and sisters: Ruth Bruner of London, Mary Lambert of Indiana, Eugene West of Florida, and Rena Pruett of Indiana, these brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Connie and Ray Martin, Johnny and Theada Hudson, Odessa and Marvin Cole, Perlina and Walter Depew, Anna and Albert Sester, Pauline and Tom Holmes, and Henry and Stacy Hudson, and a host of other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Hughie and America West, and these brothers and sisters: Kelly West, Micky West, Miner West, and Jewel West.
Funeral Services for Mr. Pitman West will be conducted on Thursday, at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jessie Martin and Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hudson Cemetery in the Banks Branch Community.
Visitation will be on Thursday, from 11:30 AM until funeral time at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
