Gladys Hacker Scharstein, 79, of Manchester, was born, March 22nd, 1934, and passed away, September 9th, 2013 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her son, Robert W. Scharstein, and wife, Ralda, of Cottondale, AL, and her grandson John R. Scharstein.
She is also survived by one brother, Shelby Hacker, of Lily, KY, and two sisters, Irene Hacker, and Betty Smith Meredith, both of Manchester.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Richard Scharstein, her son, Don Scharstein, her parents Steve Major and Lottie Hacker, and her brothers, Anderson Hacker, Oscar Hacker, and Ronald Gene Hacker.
She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death.
Funeral services for Gladys Hacker Scharstein will be held 11 AM Friday at the Britton Funeral Home chapel with Ricky Gibson officiating. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home.
