Fred Baker, 70, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Friday, October 25th, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Fred was born in Manchester, KY on May 31, 1954, a son of the late Squire and Evelyn Payne Baker.
Fred is survived by his daughters: Amanda Collins and husband Lloyd of Richmond, and Carrie Bowling and husband Mikey of Berea, and the following grandchildren, whom he adored: Cathryn Asher, Madilyn Sizemore, Luke Asher, Noah Bowling, and John Bowling. Fred loved to follow all their activities, from sports to school to competitions. He was always so proud.
He is also survived by his sisters: Margaret Day and husband Larry of Manchester, Janet Hibbard and husband Bobby of Midway, Kay Garrison and husband Nordy of Manchester, Betty Sue Smith of London, KY, and Robin Arnold and husband Rick of Sebring, FL.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 27th at Britton Funeral Home, with Ken Bolin officiating. Burial will follow at the Squire Hensley Cemetery in Oneida, KY.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 27th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester.
