LEXINGTON, KY WOMAN ARRESTED WHEN K-9 ALERT LEADS TO DRUGS AT TRAFFIC STOP ON U.S. 25E IN KNOX COUNTY

BARBOURVILLE, KY - The Knox County, Ky. Sheriff's Department reports that on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at approximately 12:30 am, Deputy Thomas Martin conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 25E in Barbourville.

After making contact with the two occupants inside the vehicle, Deputy Martin became suspicious when a female passenger, identified as: Natasha L. Green, age 36, of Lexington, KY refused commands to exit the vehicle.

After removing Green from the vehicle, Knox County Deputy SGT Jesse Smith was called to the scene with his K-9, Pita.

After conducting a walk around the vehicle, Pita alerted on the passenger side of the vehicle near the front passenger seat.

A purse belonging to the passenger was found inside the vehicle that contained two (2) plastic bags of suspected crystal methamphetamine and several syringes.

The suspect, Natasha Green was arrested and transported to the Knox County Detention Center.

Natasha Green was charged with:

  • POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG, 1ST OFF (METHAMPHETAMINE)
  • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA - BUY/POSSESS

Green was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
