Cleo E. Smallwood, 81, of Garrard, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 2nd, at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. Cleo was born in Red Bird, KY on June 17, 1943, a daughter of the late Elzie and Elizabeth Wagers Eversole.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Smallwood.
Cleo is survived by her children: Ricky (Maggie Baker) Smallwood of Garrard, Lee Roy (Regina) Smallwood of Burning Springs, Ronald "LC" (Meacie) Smallwood of Louisville, Mikel (Rhonda) Smallwood of Alabama, and Angela (Danny Mays) Mills of London.
She is also survived by her sisters, Edith Smallwood of Jackson County, and Lorene of Indiana; by her grandchildren: Jennifer, Brandon, Jessica, Cassandra, Renee, Eric, Roy Mikel, Josh, Candice, Amber, Daniel, Austin, and Aaron; a host of great-grandchildren; and by a very close friend, Richard Mills.
In addition to her husband and parents, Cleo was preceded in death by her son, Donald Smallwood; and by several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 5th at Britton Funeral Home, with Mikel Smallwood and George David Blair officiating. Burial will follow at the Smallwood Cemetery in Garrard.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3rd and Thursday, July 4th at Britton Funeral Home.
