MAN GOING DOOR TO DOOR ASKING PEOPLE TO FIGHT ARRESTED IN SOUTHEAST, KENTUCKY

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen arrested Branstein Schell age 32 of Corbin on Sunday evening February 2, 2025 at approximately 7:16 PM.

The arrest occurred off Court Road, approximately 2 miles South of London after Deputy Allen was dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a male subject apparently under the influence creating a disturbance by going door to door in the neighborhood and asking people to fight him.

When Deputy Allen arrived in the vicinity of the complaint he located the suspect running around on multiple properties off Court Road.

Deputy Allen noted detecting the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the subject and learned through investigation from neighbors that this individual had allegedly been asking people to fight with him.

The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Branstein Schell was charged with:

  • Alcohol intoxication in a public place
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
