Wayne "Tex" Robinson, 77, of London, KY, passed away Sunday, April 28th, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. Wayne was born in Manchester, KY, on January 7th, 1947, a son of the late Denver and Edna Grubb Robinson. He loved to farm, travel, take care of his cows and dogs. He was a loving husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle, and friend.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Gladys Robinson of London, KY.
He is also survived by his two sons: Kenneth Darrell Robinson and wife Felicia of Somerset, KY and Christopher Lee Robinson of Trenton, OH; his two stepsons: Danny Cox of Cincinnati, OH and Jason Cox and wife Rachel of Beattyville, KY; by the following grandchildren: Morgan Shelby Brooks, Elliot Cox, Tiffany Robinson, Alicia Robinson, Sierra Vanover, Kenneth Junior Robinson, Brittany Robinson, and Cameron Robinson; the following great-grandchildren: Alexandria Bales, Hailey Bales, Paige Bales, Joseph Bales, Noah Robinson, Aiden Bales, Jalia Bales, Paisley Robinson, Alison Straw, Nathan Straw, and Ella Cox; and 2 great-great-grandchildren: Ishmael Flores and Pricilla Flores.
As well as the following brothers and sisters: General Robinson of Manchester, KY, Wallace Robinson and wife Betty of Manchester, KY Delmas Robinson and wife Martha of London, KY, Shorty Robinson and wife Romana of Manchester, KY, Katherine Roark and husband Jim of Westberg, FL, Mona Rose of London, KY, Maudie Madden of Tyner, KY, Bonnie Smith and husband William of Manchester, KY, and Brenda Lewis of London, KY.
He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.
Services for Wayne will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 2nd, at Britton Funeral Home, with Mitchell Ball and Tim Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the A.R. Dyche Cemetery in London, KY. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Junior, Christopher, Jason, Robbie, Danny, and Elliott.
Visitation for Wayne will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 2nd, at Britton Funeral Home.
