FELON IN POSSESSION OF FIREARM JEOPARDIZES NEIGHBORHOOD IN MANCHESTER, KENTUCKY

MANCHESTER, KY - MPD Chief Jeff Couch is reporting that on Friday, January 31, 2025, a Manchester resident was arrested when police responded to a shooting incident on Radio Hill.

Allegedly, Michael Perkins, age 63, fired several shots from a firearm inside his residence while another subject was present, endangering that subject's life. Some of the shots went outside the residence and endangered the neighborhood in the Radio Hill area of Manchester.

Perkins was arrested by Officer Jeff Collett and K-9 Officer John Root who is in charge of the case.

Michael Perkins was charged with:

  • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE
  • POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
