Eddie Dean Smith, 64, of Manchester, KY, passed away Monday, February 19th, at the AdventHealth Manchester Hospital. Eddie was born in Hyden, KY on January 7, 1960, a son of the late Monroe and Ellen Hoskins Smith.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Jeanette Estep Smith; his daughters: Ruby Smith and husband Shawn Doughman, and Jennifer Jarvis and husband Roger; and his son, Lonzo Wagers, all of Manchester.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Barney Smith and wife Sue of Hyden, Elijah Smith and wife Jewell of Barbourville, Jean Simpson and husband Joe of Manchester, Ailene Adams and husband Lonnie of Hyden, and Margaret Hoskins of Keavy; his grandchildren: Eddie Daniel Smith-Doughman, Arabella Doughman, Kevin Jarvis, Selena Jarvis, and Tristan Bowling; and by a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his brother and sisters: Junior Smith, Helen Bailey, Zelphie Maddingly, Kathleen Osborne, Irene Kurtezz, and Ann Roberts; and by two sisters-in-law: Bessie Estep and Vanda Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses can be made to Britton Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 25th at Britton Funeral Home, with Paul Mitchell and James Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Ira Barger Cemetery in Saul, KY.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th at Britton Funeral Home.
