Russell Knuckles, 64, of Manchester, KY, passed away on Tuesday, March 24th, at UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Russell was born on July 25,1955, a son of the late Robert Boyd Knuckles Jr. and Quessie Mae Oxendine Knuckles. He was a lifelong resident of Bell, and Clay County, KY. Russell was a U.S. Army Veteran where he was a member of the the 101st Airborne Division ("Screaming Eagles"). Russell died as a result of an assault upon his person in Clay County, KY.
Russell was also preceded in death by his sister Mary Knuckles and his brother Vintrice Knuckles.
He is survived by: His daughters: Wenohah Knuckles of Louisville, KY; Natasha Knuckles of Manchester KY; His sister: Mary Ann Knuckles of Charlotte, NC; His brothers: Edward Bryan Knuckles of Nashville, TN; Michael Knuckles of Tyler, TX; Steve Knuckles of Manchester, KY & Joey Knuckles of Charlotte, NC; His granddaughters: Daija Johnson age 23; Valerie Johnson age 22; Jaida Knuckles age 17 & Mylah Rose Knuckles age 2.
Also Russell was looking forward to meeting his first great granddaughter, Mailina Hope Johnson who's birth is expected later this month.
His body was cremated at Care Cremation in Lexington, KY.
Russell's ashes will be interred at the Knuckles Family Cemetery in Bell County, KY, on Saturday July 25, 2020 on which would have been his 65th Birthday.
