Evelyn Gibson, age 95 departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on Monday, September 8, 1924 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Carter and Lizzie Reid Anderson. She was a cook and a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.
She leaves to mourn her passing her nieces and nephews: Bobby Dale Gibson and his wife Jennifer, John Gibson and Victoria Hoskins, Michael Gibson and Liberty Sizemore and Debbie Sizemore and her husband Gary as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as her brothers and sisters: Jackie Herd, Norma Hall, Daman Anderson and Bobby Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Carter and Lizzie Anderson, her husband: Gilbert “Peck” Gibson, her nephew: Dennis Gibson and her brothers: Carter Anderson, Jr., Jennings Anderson, Jarve Anderson, Ted Anderson and Kenneth Anderson and her sisters: Billie Jean Eversole and Lily Jo Anderson.
Funeral Services for Evelyn Gibson will be conducted on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Mark Nation will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Sandlin Branch Cemetery in the Upper Rader Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones after 6 PM on Tuesday at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
