Belton, KY - (Muhlenberg County) – The suspect, Cody N. McIntosh, was taken into custody at approximately 8:51 a.m., Tuesday, February 9. He was arrested by the KSP in the Dunmor area of Muhlenberg County.

KSP Seeking Armed and Dangerous Suspect

Belton, KY (Muhlenberg County) – The Kentucky State Police is currently searching for an armed and dangerous suspect in the Belton area of Muhlenberg County.
On Sunday, February 7, at approximately 9:55 p.m., troopers were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint at the intersection of US 431 and KY 70 when a vehicle attempted to avoid the checkpoint. Trooper Jacob Fortney activated his emergency equipment and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle accelerated and attempted to flee by pulling into a yard behind a residence on Chumley Lane in the Beech Creek area. Just prior to the suspect vehicle coming to a stop, the operator fired a handgun from the driver's side window. The suspect vehicle came to a stop and the operator exited, firing multiple times. The operator then fled the scene on foot into a wooded area.
The operator has been identified as Cody N. McIntosh, 22, Dunmor, KY. His description is:
Last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie & gray sweatpants At the present time, the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team (SRT) is on the scene attempting to locate the suspect in the Belton area. Officers from KSP Post 2, KSP Special Operations Branch K-9, Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, Greenville Police Department, and KY Department of Fish & Wildlife are assisting with the search.
