(Louisville, KY) - A 28-year-old Louisville resident was arrested by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch on Tuesday, May 14 as the result of an undercover Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) investigation involving the solicitation of a minor for sex.
The investigation began on May 1, 2013, when a man engaged in sexually explicit conversations with KSP detectives in Frankfort, Ky, who were posing online as a minor. The suspect was later identified as Christopher Coy of Louisville, Ky.
On May 14, 2013, KSP detectives went to a prearranged meeting location in Lousiville with an arrest warrant for Coy. When Coy arrived to meet who he thought was a juvenile girl, he was met by law enforcement.
KSP detectives were assisted by St. Matthews Police and Louisville Metro Police in the arrest and subsequent execution of a search warrant at Coy’s residence. Coy was charged with Unlawful Use of Electronic Means to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual Activities. He was lodged in the Jefferson County jail.
