MUNFORDVILLE, KY - (February 10, 2025) Just after 12:00 PM, the Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a call about a possible fatal collision. Troopers arrived at the intersection of Hardyville Road (KY 88) and Birchwood Lane.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a silver Chevrolet Trail Blazer, operated by Philip Hodson, 70, of Canmer, was traveling eastbound on KY 88 when it crossed the centerline into the westbound lane, colliding with a white Ford van operated by Edin Favier.
Mr. Favier, along with two passengers in his vehicle, was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Two other passengers were airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital. Mr. Hodson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Detective Bo Hubbard. He was assisted at the scene by Hart County Sheriff's Office, Munfordville Fire Department, Hart County EMS, Hart County Coroner's Office, and other KSP personnel.
