Two Manchester, KY Men Taken into Custody after Police Pursuit on a Dead End Road in Clay County

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Deputy Sgt. Wes Brumley assisted by Deputy Luke Thomas, Manchester Police Sgt. Derrick Carr & Officer John Root arrested two individuals, both of Manchester.

The arrests occurred after a vehicle pursuit on Gregory Branch, a road in the Horse Creek area of Clay County without an outlet other than the entrance off Hwy-80.

The suspects were identified as Jordan Hubbard, age 27, of Manchester, KY and Steven Hopkins, age 35, also of Manchester, KY. 

Jordan Hubbard was arrested for:

  • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE)
  • REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED
  • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE
  • RECKLESS DRIVING
  • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE
  • RESISTING ARREST
  • MENACING
  • NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE
  • POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG 1ST OFF (DRUG UNSPECIFIED)
  • PROMOTING CONTRABAND - 1ST DEGREE

Steven Hopkins was arrested on 3 separate charges of:

  • FAILURE TO APPEAR

These two individuals were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
