DRUG ARREST BY POLICE RESPONDING TO CALL OF A POSSIBLE DECEASED MALE AT A BUSINESS IN MANCHESTER, KY

MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at approximately 8:50 PM, Sheriff's Deputy Walter Marker, along with MPD Officer Gibbs and KSP Trooper Lovins, responded to a call at the CMR convenient store in reference to a possible deceased male in a red jeep.

Clay County Sheriff 175Upon arrival, officers located the jeep with the male subject inside and began an investigation. Officers detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and made contact with the subject inside who was very much alive and identified as Robert Campbell, age 63, of Manchester, KY. 

At the completion of a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers discovered a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Campbell was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.

Robert Campbell was charged with:

  • POSS CONT SUB 1ST DEG, 1ST OFF (METHAMPHETAMINE)
  • POSS OF MARIJUANA

This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
