LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen arrested Elmer Creech, age 35, of Rooks Rd., London on Monday evening October 28, 2024 at approximately 5:54 PM.
The arrest occurred off Locust Grove Road, approximately 8 miles southwest of London while deputies were securing a residence related to an ongoing investigation and observed this individual pull into the driveway driving a tan colored Chevrolet Traverse.
During the resulting investigation the driver was determined to be under the influence – this individual stated he had used meth and Suboxone recently. It was also determined that this individual was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Elmer Creech was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance – second offense
- Operating on suspended or revoked operator's license
In addition, this individual was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substance – first offense
