LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Cyruss McVey along with Deputy Justin Lewis arrested Johnny Dale Marcum, age 63, of London on Sunday night August 18, 2024 at approximately 11:22 PM.
The arrest occurred off TIB Drive approximately 1 mile east of London after deputies were dispatched by London – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a domestic violence complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies made contact with a female who advised that a male subject had punched her in the eye and had assaulted her. Deputies noted a visible injury around her eye.
Deputies learned that the suspect had fled out the back door of the residence prior to deputies arriving at the scene.
Deputies searched and found the suspect behind the residence hiding in some bushes in a fence line.
Johnny Dale Marcum was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
