MANCHESTER, KY - Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on Friday, May 10, 2024, he and Chief Deputy Clifton Jones were called out regarding a male subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle.
Once Sheriff Robinson and Chief Deputy Jones arrived on scene the subject was located and when asked for his ID, he pulled out:
- A baggy of Meth
- Pills
- A large sum of U.S. Currency
Seized drugs and cash (Clay County Sheriffs Office)
According to the Clay County Sheriffs Office the seized items were confirmed to be 9 grams of Methamphetamine, several pills of Fentanyl along with $3034.00 in cash.
The subject was identified as David Ratliff, age 43 of Manchester, KY. Mr. Ratliff was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Jail.
David Ratliff was charged with:
- TRAFF IN CONT SUB, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF - (> OR = 2 GMS METHAMPHETAMINE)
- PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLL SUB(EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
This individual was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
