LONDON, KY - On Thursday, April 18, 2024 at approximately 9:19 pm, Sgt. Wade Mitchell arrested Crystal M. Overbay, age 45 of London, KY.
Sgt. Mitchell was fueling his patrol vehicle when he observed a collision at the intersection of S. Laurel Road and Levi Jackson Mill Road. Sgt. Mitchell responded and made contact with those involved.
After making contact with Overbay, he observed that she was exhibiting several signs of impairment.
Overbay was requested to undergo Standard Field Sobriety Tests, and upon completion, determined that Overbay was under the influence.
Overbay was placed under arrest without incident and later lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Crystal M. Overbay was charged with:
- Operating Motor Vehicle U/Influence Controlled Substance - 1st Offense
- Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License
- Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance/Security - 1st Offense
- Failure to Produce Insurance Card
- No Registration Plates
- No Registration Receipt
