DAVID, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) reports that on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 8:56 AM, KSP Post 9, Pikeville received a call from Prestonsburg 911 dispatch requesting assistance at the scene of a residential fire in the David community.
Investigators were dispatched and responded to the scene located at Willow Valley in the David community of Floyd County.
The preliminary investigation revealed emergency personnel located Dianne Price, 63 years old, of David deceased inside the residence.
Price’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The cause of the fire and death is under investigation. No foul play is suspected.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Detective Joseph Coleman.
Detective Coleman was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel and David Volunteer Fire Department.
