LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Zach Allen arrested Justin David Hampton age 41 of London on Thursday evening November 23, 2023 at approximately 5:25 PM.
The arrest occurred off Hatcher Road, approximately 1 mile east of London after deputies were dispatched to an unknown problem there.
Tele communicators at Laurel 911 dispatch advised that they could hear a lot of screaming while on the phone with the complainant.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation and learned that allegedly a verbal disagreement became physical when Hampton allegedly struck a male subject there.
Deputies noted redness to the cheek area of the victim.
Justin David Hampton was charged with:
- Assault – 4th degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
