MANCHESTER, KY MAN ARRESTED DURING INVESTIGATION AT TRAFFIC SAFETY CHECKPOINT NEAR I–75 ON HWY 909 IN LAUREL CO.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Cyruss McVey arrested Zebulun Kane Garner, age 46, of Manchester, KY on Monday night February 3, 2025 at approximately 10:45 PM.

The arrest occurred on Rockcastle River Forestry Road, approximately 8 miles north of London while deputies and the Laurel County Constable's office conducted a traffic safety checkpoint on Highway 909 near I–75.

An investigation was conducted on Garner who was driving a Hyundai Elantra after it was determined that he was operating on a suspended license. During the investigation the driver was found in possession of a handgun and was determined to be under the influence.

In addition, the driver was found in possession of a syringe. It was also determined that the driver was a convicted felon.

Zebulun Kane Garner was charged with:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Operating on suspended or revoked operator's license
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
