LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen along with Deputy Daniel Reed arrested Amy Elswick age 36 of Williamsburg on Saturday night August 19, 2023 at approximately 7 PM.
The arrest occurred off Powers Lane, approximately 8 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a possible fight in progress complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies noted observing two male subjects outside a residence there however deputies were unable to locate any disturbance.
While canvassing the immediate area there deputies made contact with a female subject who they determined was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
During arrest this individual was found in possession of Methamphetamine.
Amy Elswick was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:
- Contempt of court – Child support
In addition, Elswick was charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
