HUDDY, KY. (January 23, 2025) – The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a 911 call regarding a shooting in the Huddy community of Pike County on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
KSP troopers responded to the Forest Trace apartments and discovered one male had been shot. The initial investigation indicated Carson Jones, 45 years old of Stone, KY discharged a firearm, striking Chad Hurley.
Fields was transported to a nearby hospital to seek medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of this investigation, Carson Jones was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
Carson Jones is currently charged with:
- Assault 1st Degree
- Possession of Defaced Firearm
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Fentanyl)
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
This individual was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center at the time of this publishing.
