LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Drew Wilson along with K-9 Deputy Brian France arrested Nikki Fairchild age 50 of Corbin, KY early Sunday morning July 24, 2022 at approximately 1:20 AM.
The arrest occurred in a business parking lot off West Cumberland Gap Parkway approximately 10 miles South of London, after Nikki Fairchild was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging Failure to appear in Court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
In addition: Fairchild was charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest charging Failure to appear in court on charges of:
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
- Giving officer false identifying information
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Upon being lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center this subject was found in possession of a syringe located in the backseat of the patrol cruiser that the arrested individual had attempted to conceal.
Nikki Fairchild was also charged with:
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Attempted tampering with physical evidence
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
