DRY RIDGE, KY – The Kentucky State Police is reporting that an escaped Inmate has been arrested.
Teddy Bruce Murphy (62) an inmate from the Campbell County Detention Center walked away from a work detail Thursday morning at 525 Central Avenue in Newport. No details were released as to where Mr. Murphy was taken back into custody at or where he was lodged.

Dry Ridge, Ky. (July 7, 2022) – On July 7, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. the Kentucky State Police Post 6 was notified that an inmate from the Campbell County Detention Center by the name of Teddy Bruce Murphy (62) walked away from a work detail this morning at 525 Central Avenue in Newport.
Mr. Murphy is a white male 235 pounds, five foot seven inches tall.
Mr. Murphy has charges of:
- Probation Violation
- Theft by Unlawful Taking
Anyone with information about the location of Mr. Murphy please contact the Kentucky State Police or your local agency.
