WRIGLEY, KY – The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement is investigating a fatal crash in Morgan County, Kentucky.
At around 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2021 CVE officer Jamie Fields responded to KY 7 in the Wrigley Community of Morgan County to a single vehicle crash involving a large commercial box truck.
Upon arrival and though investigation officer Fields found 49 year old Daniel D. Hofeister of South Point Ohio was traveling southbound on KY 7 operating a 2005 GMC Box Truck when he left the highway and overturned.
Hofeister was pronounced dead on the scene by Morgan County Coroner's office.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash and Hofeister was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
Traffic was stopped for nearly 2 hours for emergency crews to investigate the crash.
