Another arrest during ongoing Drug Investigations in Laurel County

Drugs found N25 Suspect

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner arrested Dustin T. Morgan age 23 of Sally's Branch Rd., London on Sunday afternoon February 16, 2020 at approximately 4:04 PM.

The arrest occurred off North Laurel Rd., approximately 2 miles north of London following an investigation conducted on a red Chevrolet S-10 pickup there. Deputies were aware that the driver of the pickup truck was operating on a DUI suspended license.

During their investigation there, Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jake Miller utilizing his K-9 “Gotcha” alerted on the vehicle following a walk around and deputies located:

  • Methamphetamin
  • Gabapentin
  • Needles
  • A large quantity of plastic bags
  • A small scale

Dustin Morgan was charged with:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Driving on DUI suspended license – first offense
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Resisting arrest

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
