KSP Investigates Fatal Collision Pulaski County

Somerset, Ky.  – The Kentucky State Police, London Post is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on KY 461 in the Shopville area of Pulaski County at approximately 8:00 am Friday morning.

The initial investigation indicates that a 2008 Dodge Avenger operated by Eva Artis, 35 years old of Somerset, KY, was traveling north on KY 461 when she lost control of her vehicle.  She crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided into a 2006 Chevrolet Van that was traveling south, driven by Michael Keene of Lexington.  Eva Artis sustained fatal injuries in the collision, and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. 

Michael Keene and his passengers were transported to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where they were treated and released.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 11 Detective Dackery Larkey.  He was assisted at the scene by Post 11 Personnel, Pulaski County EMS, Shopville Fire Department, and the Pulaski County Coroner.
