DEWITT, KY (August 24, 2019) - The Knox County, Ky. Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Thursday August 22, 2019 Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith along with several deputies conducted a search at the residence of Earnie Hammons on Hale Fork Road in Dewitt.
During the investigation, located and seized was:
- Numerous Oxycodone tablets
- Hydrocodone tablets
- Xanxa tablets
- Gabapentin tablets
- Suboxone tablets and strips
- Approximately one pound of Marijuana
- An AK-47 assault rifle
- A handgun
- Over $29,000 in U.S. currency
Earnie Hammons age 53 of Dewitt, KY was arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance-2nd Degree
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance-3rd Degree
- Trafficking in Marijuana-under 5 pounds
- Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
Earnie Hammons was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
