Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner along with Sgt. Greg Poynter, Detective Bryon Lawson, Deputy Joey Robinson, and Deputy Brent France arrested Joshua A. Stopher age 38 of Corbin on Friday afternoon August 16, 2019 at approximately 4:40 PM.
The arrest occurred off US 25 approximately 6 miles South of London after deputies charged this individual on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging:
- Manslaughter – second-degree
- Assault – second-degree
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence
- Operating on a suspended or revoked operator's license
- Failure of non owner operator to maintain required insurance
- Persistent felony offender II
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
