Clay County Sheriff's Deputy deputy arrests 2 during complaint investigation

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on June 24, 2019 at approximately 7:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Jeremy Gabbard arrested Carlos Wagers, 29 of Rocky Branch and Angela Marcum, 45 of South Highway 421.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Gabbard received a complaint of 2 individuals passed out behind the wheel of a car.

Upon arrival Deputy Gabbard made contact with both subjects, the information of the driver was ran where it was confirmed through Clay County Dispatch that the subject had an active warrant for domestic assault, during the investigation of the driver it was determined the subject was under the influence of intoxicants.

Deputy Gabbard conducted an investigation involving the passenger of the vehicle determining she was also under the influence of intoxicants.

Upon search of incident Deputy Gabbard located various illegal substances along with drug paraphernalia. 

Carlos Wagers was charged with:
• Serving Warrant of Arrest of Domestic Assault
• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)

Angela Marcum was charged with:
• Serving Bench Warrant for Court
• Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
• Possession of Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree (Drug Unspecified)
• Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
• Prescription of Controlled Substance not in Original Container
