PARENTS ARRESTED IN PULASKI CO., KY AFTER CHILD RUNS AWAY, REPORTS ALLEGED ABUSE

SOMERSET, KY - Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Pulaski County couple following a complaint that they assaulted two children in their care.

On the night of Wednesday, March 5, 2025 Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Floyd Switch Road in Eubank after they received a call that a child had run away from that residence and had come to the caller’s home. The child alleged that her parents had committed multiple acts of abuse against them and another child in the home.

Upon Deputies’ arrival, they conducted an initial investigation, and also contacted the Department for Community Based Services’ Division of Protection and Permanency. Personnel from that agency responded to the scene.

Following the initial investigation, Deputies contacted the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.

On March 6, Crimes Against Children Detective Jay Picard continued the investigation. As a result of evidence collected during Det. Picard’s investigation, the children’s parents, identified as, Marty Ray Williams, 61, and Judith Ann Williams, 62, were both arrested and charged with the following offenses:

Marty Williams was charged with Assault in the Second Degree – Domestic Violence

Judith Williams was charged with Strangulation in the First Degree – Domestic Violence and Assault in the First Degree – Domestic Violence.

Marty Williams and Judith Williams were both arrested at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center, under bonds of $80,000 cash or property and $100,000 cash or property, respectively.

Det. Picard is continuing the investigation. Det. Picard was assisted in the investigation by Sgt. Preston Pitman, Deputies Seth Gover, Dylan West, Daniel Drury, Ronnie Golden, James Pitman, Noah Wesley, Evan Whitis, Kyle Wilson, and Joe Baggett, as well as other Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division.
