Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards arrested two individuals off East Laurel Rd. approximately 2 miles east of London on Thursday morning March 14, 2019 at approximately 11:40 AM.
The arrests occurred after deputies were dispatched to a fight complaint on Hal Rogers Parkway approximately 2 miles east of London.
While deputies were enroute to that location, they were advised that two subjects had jumped the fence headed in the direction of Bush Elementary School.
Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards located the two individuals near the playground area of the school and upon approaching the two individuals, they both jumped over a fence that surrounds the school. Sgt. Edwards took control of the two individuals and conducted an investigation determining that both were under the influence.
In addition, the female subject was found in possession of needles and a checkbook belonging to another individual. It was determined that a check had been written by the female subject without permission from the check owner.
During the investigation it was learned that allegedly another female subject had received injuries on the Parkway at the original fight complaint. That a female was transported to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of injuries.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
