Woman flees police by jumping in creek / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 13, 2019 at approximately 9:00 AM Clay County Chief Deputy Clifton Jones arrested Pricilla Lovins age 32 of Gregory Branch Road.

The arrest occurred on Highway 80 when Chief Deputy Jones received a complaint that a female subject was staggering in the road way on Highway 80.

Chief Deputy Jones made contact with the female at the junction of Crawfish Road and Highway 80, at that time the above mentioned subject took off on foot and jumped in the creek.

Deputies and Officers on scene made contact with the above mentioned subject on Bald Knob Road where she became belligerent and combative towards Deputies and Officers. She was placed under arrest without further incident.

Pricilla Lovins was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Assault 2nd Degree, Police Officer
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Assisting at scene was Clay County Sheriff PAO Trent Baker, Manchester City Police Chief Chris Fultz, Manchester City Police Detective Gary Jordan, Manchester City Police Officer Ryan Jackson and Kentucky State Trooper Don Trosper.
